1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Skillynx, a local services marketplace for clients and independent freelancers. By creating an account, browsing listings, posting jobs, applying for work, chatting, entering a contract, making a payment, or requesting a payout, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Skillynx for a company, organization, or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that party.
2. Marketplace role
Skillynx provides tools for users to find each other, communicate, create service listings and job posts, manage contract records, fund work, request payouts, and leave reviews. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Skillynx is not a party to the service contract between a client and freelancer and does not employ freelancers.
Users are responsible for deciding whether to enter into a job, service, contract, or arrangement. Skillynx may provide moderation, payment workflow, dispute review, or safety tools, but does not guarantee any user, service, outcome, timeline, or earnings.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not create accounts using false information, impersonate another person, evade a suspension, or transfer your account without permission.
Skillynx may refuse, suspend, ban, or delete accounts when needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment risk, or violation of these Terms.
4. Job posts, skill listings, and applications
Clients must describe jobs honestly, including scope, location, timing, budget, deliverables, and safety considerations. Freelancers must describe skills, pricing, experience, availability, and service limits honestly.
You may not post unlawful, misleading, unsafe, discriminatory, exploitative, adult, weapon-related, regulated, or off-platform payment requests. Skillynx may remove or restrict listings, jobs, applications, reviews, or profiles that violate these Terms.
5. Communications and anti-circumvention
Users should keep work-related communication, scope changes, contract decisions, and payment-related instructions in Skillynx chat and contract tools. You may not use Skillynx to find a client or freelancer and then move payment or contracting off platform to avoid platform protections, fees, records, or policies.
6. Contracts, funded balances, and payments
A client may fund a contract or app balance before work begins. Contract amounts, platform fees, freelancer amounts, payment records, escrow records, and payout records may be tracked in Skillynx. Funds may be reserved until work is accepted, released, refunded, withheld, or disputed according to the available workflow and applicable payment provider rules.
Payment processing may be provided by third-party processors such as Stripe. Payment providers may require identity, fraud, risk, and compliance checks. Fees, chargebacks, refunds, failed payments, taxes, and payout delays may apply.
7. Freelancer payouts and taxes
Freelancers are independent service providers responsible for their own taxes, licenses, permits, insurance, tools, safety practices, and legal obligations. Skillynx may review withdrawal requests, payout method details, account information, and transaction history before approving or processing payouts.
8. Disputes and reviews
Clients and freelancers should try to resolve issues directly through in-app chat. Skillynx may review contract records, chat history, payment records, listing details, applications, photos, reviews, and other context to support a dispute decision.
Reviews must be honest and based on real marketplace experiences. Skillynx may remove reviews that are abusive, fraudulent, retaliatory, discriminatory, irrelevant, or otherwise violate these Terms.
9. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use Skillynx for fraud, scams, harassment, threats, hate, or illegal services.
- Post false qualifications, fake reviews, stolen content, or misleading prices.
- Request or accept payment outside the platform for work sourced through Skillynx.
- Interfere with security, scrape data, reverse engineer the app, or abuse APIs.
- Upload malware, spam, explicit content, or another person's private information without permission.
- Discriminate based on protected characteristics or create unsafe working conditions.
10. Content license
You keep ownership of content you submit, such as profile information, listing text, messages, job details, photos, applications, and reviews. You grant Skillynx a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, process, moderate, and use that content to operate, improve, protect, and promote the marketplace.
11. Safety, moderation, and enforcement
Skillynx may investigate activity, restrict features, hide content, ban users, delete accounts, pause payouts, preserve records, or contact affected parties when we believe it is needed for safety, legal compliance, platform integrity, payment risk, or policy enforcement.
12. Disclaimers and liability limits
Skillynx is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, verified user identity, service quality, job availability, earnings, specific outcomes, or that all disputes will be resolved to your preference.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skillynx will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, or user conduct.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the product, laws, or marketplace needs change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. Questions or account requests can be sent to support@skillynx.com.
